Encompassing country: Canada
Climate Generation and our partners are committed to making the Institute an inclusive event that provides multiple modes for educators to engage. We will do our best to arrange accommodations for educators as needed to allow full participation.
The Summer Institute will be held virtually using various digital platforms including Zoom and Whova for most events and sessions. Training sessions and office hours will be provided to help you become familiar with these platforms prior to the Institute and to ensure that a staff person is available to answer questions in real time. Many sessions will be recorded. Some sessions will be discussion-based or use breakouts rooms and thus will not be recorded. Live closed captioning will be provided for all sessions and events.
The Summer Institute for Climate Change Education costs $250 to attend. Climate Generation has a limited number of full scholarships for attending educators. Scholarship priority is given to People of Color and teachers in underserved districts. Cohort Leaders and presenters may attend the Institute at no cost.
