Who should apply?
Outstanding Teachers and ECEs across Canada who in their practice:
- Use Environmental Inquiry,
- Create learning opportunities that inspire students to become environmentally conscious and responsible world citizens
- Recognize/support the importance of Indigenous perspectives in their approach to Environmental Inquiry (i.e. a connection to the spirit of learning, a deeply rooted sense of place, a recognition that everything is related, or an emphasis on reciprocity)
Prizes
The grand prize winner will receive:
- $500 towards environmental education related professional development
- Signed Edward Burtynsky print
- $1000 for his/her school towards funding Environmental Education learning experiences for students
Runner-Up (two recipients) will each receive:
- $250 toward environmental education related professional development
- 2 signed books by Edward Burtynsky – one for themselves, and one for their school library
