Artist’s statement:
The inspiration for this TikTok is majorly influenced by the enormous environmental footprint of fast fashion. We focused primarily on how this industry has negatively influenced the ecosystem especially in the natural rivers, lakes and ocean. The toxic dyes used to create these eye catching looks does much more harm than good. Being leaked into the water and contaminating it. Killing huge amounts of wildlife. We decided to show pictures of the damage in our TikTok to portray how truly harmful this is.
