As the new school year gathers momentum, take a purposeful pause to return to balance, recharge your energy, and find your direction.
Gather with us for the fall teacher’s retreat on the shores of Nictau Lake beneath the beauty of Mount Carleton for connection, learning, and renewal. Explore the wisdom of the land through experiences shared by a variety of presenters and guides. Build confidence with bushcraft skills with Marc-André Caissie from Forêt Acadienne School of Bushcraft. Discover practical ways to bring land-based learning into your work with children, youth, and communities with Great Minds Think Outside and Learning Nature’s Way. Join Aaron Shantz from United Way Greater Moncton and be inspired to think differently about supporting youth at risk – discovering creative ways to engage them, help them build connections and find the resources and support that can help them thrive.
Music, nature journalling, and nature-inspired art will be woven throughout the retreat, inviting you to slow down, notice, create and experience the land in different ways. There will be opportunities to welcome the beauty of sunrise over Nictau Lake, and evenings spent around the campfire for storytelling and stargazing with knowledgeable guides beneath the night sky. As night settles, fall asleep to the call of the loon and the song of the barred owl.
Take time to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with what guides you. Leave with a new sense of direction – grounded, refreshed and inspired.
