Sebastian Weissenberger is an environmental scientist with a background in natural sciences (chemistry and nonlinear dynamics). His research is mostly focused on climate change adaptation especially in coastal zones, with projects in New Brunswick, Quebec, Haiti and Western Africa. The webinar will address some of the fundamentals of climate change science: the greenhouse effect, the earth’s radiation balance, a paleoclimatological perspective on recent climate change, the carbon cycle, ocean acidification, sea level rise and time scales of climate change.
